About the Petroleum Conversion Research Center (PCRC)

The PCRC is a premier research facility focused on pioneering technologies in liquid-to-chemicals conversion, waste recycling, CO2 reduction, and hydrogen production. Our advanced pilot plants feature fluid catalytic cracking, hydroprocessing, gas-to-liquids, distillation, ebullated-bed hydrocracking, waste pyrolysis, and gasification units. KFUPM is Hiring: Engineers in Chemical, Electrical, and Instrumentation & Control Disciplines

1. Chemical Engineers

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain pilot plants and supporting equipment.
  • Conduct and assist in experimental procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Support management and foster a robust safety culture.
  • Analyze data, present findings, and write detailed reports.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least three years of industrial and pilot plant experience.
  • Strong passion for research and science.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and MS Office skills.

2. Electrical Engineers

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimize performance of electronic/electrical devices (heaters, contactors, relays, circuit breakers, motors, UPS).
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
  • Recommend and install power requirements for equipment.
  • Update maintenance schedules and manage electronic/electrical supplies.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and maintenance skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

3. Instrumentation & Control Engineers

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimize performance of electronic/electrical devices (thermocouples, flow transmitters, pressure transmitters, controllers, valves).
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and control devices.
  • Conduct PID tuning and PLC programming.
  • Update maintenance schedules and manage instrumentation supplies.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. in Instrumentation & Control Engineering or a related field.
  • At least three years of industrial and pilot plant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in instrumentation maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills and team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
