The scholarship is financed by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Federal Foreign Office. TGGS was founded as a joint project between DAAD, RWTH Aachen, and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB).

Eligibility Criteria

Interested applicants for Scholarship in Thailand to Study abroad with DAAD full scholarship 2021 at TGGS must fulfill the following eligibility criteria;

  • Applicants must be from South-East Asian Countries
  • Students must have bachelor degree or transcript of engineering or related fields.
  • Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (or 2.5 plus adequate word or research experience)
  • Students must have good reading, writing and communications skills
  • Language Required: applicants are required to submit a proof of English language proof for the DAAD Scholarship in Thailand to study abroad.

Language Requirement

Applicants from south east Asian countries are asked to submit their English language proof by one of the following international English standard tests for international scholarships in Thailand to study abroad.

Fields of Study

DAAD full scholarship is offered by the Sirindhorn international Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering for international applicants. Students can apply only in the engineering programs at TGGS for full scholarship to study abroad in the following engineering fields. To successfully complete a 2-year international Thai-German Master’s Program (Plan A Type A2) in Engineering (only 8 different master programs available) starting August 2021.

  • Plan A Type A2 consists of a master thesis with a minimum of 12 credits, an industrial internship of 4 credits, and the coursework for additional 30 credits.

Documents Required

  • A complete application form with 1″x1″ photo
  • Two Letters of Recommendations
  • One page of Motivation Letter
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resumé
  • Official copy of the final transcript
  • Official copy of the English Proficiency test result. The English test results must be valid (must not be more than 2 years old) on the application deadline.
  • Financial statement or bank certification (for self-support)
  • Copy of Thai identification card (for Thai applicants) or passport (for international applicants)
  • Proof of application fee payment (1,000 THB)
  • For international students, additional important documents are required. Please consult the TGGS Application Procedure for more information on the extremely required important documents for international candidates.

Benefits

The scholarships are granted for the first academic year beginning August 2021. An extension to the second year will be granted according to your performance during the first year. The scholarship covers the tuition fees (partly funded by KMUTNB) and includes a monthly rate towards your costs of living.
