What is the Schwarzman Scholars Program?

The Schwarzman Scholars Program is one of the world’s most prestigious graduate fellowships, designed to build a network of future global leaders. Scholars pursue a fully funded Master’s degree in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University, one of China’s top institutions, while developing leadership skills, building cross-cultural understanding, and gaining a deep knowledge of China’s role in global trends.

Launched by Stephen A. Schwarzman, this program is modeled after the Rhodes Scholarship and aims to bridge China with the rest of the world.

Undergraduate Degree: Must be completed before August 1, 2026.
Age: Must be between 18 and 28 years old as of August 1, 2026.
English Proficiency: Required if native language is not English. Accepted tests:
- TOEFL iBT (minimum 100)
- IELTS (minimum 7.0)
- Cambridge English C1/C2 (minimum 185)
- Duolingo English Test (minimum 130)
Nationality: Open to candidates from all over the world.
